The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1222) is the top emergency
service in South Asia, and it has now been expanded to include Sindh Province
in Pakistan. Under the Punjab Emergency Service Act of 2006, Rescue 1122 was
established for the professional management of situations such car accidents,
medical emergencies, building collapses, fires, explosions, flood and water
rescues, and animal rescues, among others. Through its Emergency Ambulance,
Rescue & Fire services, and Community Emergency Response Teams, Rescue 1122
has saved countless emergency victims while upholding its quick response and
standards in all districts of Punjab province, which is home to an estimated
110 million people.
